Here is a little recap from my friend and food filled weekend... what more is there?

 

Wine with Sushi?.. why not?

Any time is a good time for wine in my book!

Caught up with some friends over dinner on Friday night... a much needed laugh sesh!

 

 

 Lockeland Table... there are not words.

It is a "must eat" in Nashville.
My mom and I took our friend out for a very be-lated birthday celebration dinner on Saturday night... there was laughter for days!

 

Some of my favorites on their menu:

Crab and Corn Fritters

Pork and Shrimp Dumplings

Bibb Wedge Salad with Fried Green Tomatoes and red pepper jam

Roasted Chicken entree.. also with pepper jam!

Oh... we also had their special corn bread, it was to die for..it came with a sweet maple butter- amaze!

 

 

 And Sunday we celebrated a friends birthday at Edley's BBQ

pretty sure they changed my life!

After working out on Saturday morning I went out to run some errands... I finally stopped by "The Well", a fabulous little coffee shop "where coffee changes lives".. more to come about this gem soon!

Then on to pick out my grandmother's birthday present, two beautiful white orchids!

 On Sunday we took my grandmother to brunch for her birthday!

The Olde Pink House

Thought I would share with you one of my favorite places/restaurants yet...

the Olde Pink House, in Savannah Georgia.

When my mom and I went to Savannah and Charelston a few years ago we were told we had to check out the "Olde Pink House", and let me tell you, it was not a disappointment!

What I had for dinner, "Crispy Scored Flounder" w/Apricot Shallot Sauce, Creamy Grits & Collards...

Probably one of the best dishes ever!

And it doesn't hurt that the building itself is pink!

Such a lovely place!

Newks to Nashville!

Belle Meade is getting a NEWK'S!!!

I saw the sign in the window of the old Crystal's store the other day at Belle Meade Plaza (next to Kroger).

It can't open soon enough!

When I was in school in Birmingham we used to go to Newk's all the time, love it!

Consistently delicious food!

(There is also one in Cool Springs)
