Birchbox... has shipped!

Have you heard of Birchbox?... well if not, you need to get on the Birchbox train!

I discovered this little gem from another great service I love...http://www.styleblueprint.com/! .. check this out too, they send out great deals almost everyday (to places you actually want to go to) and also informative emails about things like-- Birchbox!!

So basically, you sign up and for only $10 a month they send you a "Birchbox" full of little sample size beauty items that lets you try before spending a small fortune on the full size items.. everything from soap, perfume to blush!
I signed up last week and got an email 2 days later saying my June Birchbox had been shipped, I can't wait to share what goodies are in store!

Wine down Wednesday...

Take some time to Wine Down...
These are some travel-friendly wines I am loving right now...
The Sutter Home  plastic 4 packs

These are not a new item, but everytime I buy some I just love the size and the fact that they are plastic!

And my new recent obsession... The Bota Box!

I found these little gems when shopping at my local Wine Shop in preparation for Steeplechase, where the motto is: "No Glass on Grass", I therefore had to find an alternative to the regular glass wine bottles!
One of the cartons (pictured above) was only $5 and has a twist top, perfect for any occassion!

They also have the regular box size (pictured above)

Both of these options are perfect for something like Steeplechase, a picnic in the park or anytime you need your wine fix, minus the possibility of broken glass!

Lucchese in the Gulch...

Surprise!
So this past weekend my friend and I were just walking down in Gulch and came upon a new store... Lucchese Boot Co. has opened its doors in Nashville. (the location is where the Wine Loft used to be, next to Watermark, RuSan's)
Every Nashvillian needs a pair of cowboy boots, right?

The store and boots were absolutely beautiful! They had just opened 3 days before and were still getting loads of boots and other merchandise in the doors. I would totally recommend heading down to Lucchese in the Gulch for your next boot purchase.

Can't wait!

As we know Pinterest can be a major source of ideas and inspiration, sometimes almost too much!
One quote I came across that really stuck out to me though...

 Can. Not. Wait.

Cheers everyone! Go out and do what you love!

Bunny Topiaries

I found these precious moss covered bunnies at Pier 1 and I knew I had to find something to do with them for Easter!
I decided to get some little pots, floral foam, moss, and spanish moss to decorate them with.

Cut a little opening in the top of the moss to slide the bunnies through and put a little hot glue on the inside and they were ready to go!

And then added some extra moss to add some texture and there you have it!

I love how my spring centerpiece came together.
I also made some other bunny topiaries for the mantle and our kitchen table too!

Happy Easter!

Easter Wreath

Oh Pinterest... how you inspire us! I saw many versions of the Easter Egg Wreath and had to try it out for myself! And I am very pleased with the result!

I stocked up on plastic eggs at Michael's and Target.

Spray painted the wreath form from Michaels...

And got busy with the hot glue gun!
I did the row on the outside edge followed by the inside and then filled in the top of the wreath!

And then I went back and added some jelly beans to fill in the gaps and add some extra dimension!

And I decided to go with a green polka dotted wire ribbon for the bow! (Got some much needed help with the bow from my mom, the bow master!)
I think it turned out really cute and festive! I love it!

Easter Tree

It has been years since we decorated much outside for Easter, but this year I decided to have some fun for my little niece, Ruthie!
And she has loved seeing and playing with the pretty eggs in the tree! She calls it her "Easter Tree".

I totally lucked out and found some great eggs with the hole already in them to fit the fishing line through to hang them with. (When I was younger we used to tape ribbon to the outside of the eggs... boy have times changed!)
